Digital Sovereignty for everyone

Admin screens

Site screens

Every site screen needs manage_options by default (filter lh_disk_usage_return_capability).

  • Media > Library (list view): a File size column with the attached file’s size and, beneath it, the combined size of its variants. The column sorts by total size, largest first on the first click; attachments not yet measured stay in the list and show a dash.
  • Attachment edit screen and media modal: a read-only Disk usage field with the original, variants and total, and a table of every variant (size name, file, dimensions, size). It is measured live, so it is correct even before the background measurement reaches that attachment.
  • Tools > Disk Usage: the media library total, a breakdown by MIME type group, a notice while attachments are still being measured, and the 20 largest attachments with links to edit them.

Network screen

Network Tools > Disk Usage, on multisite only, needs install_plugins (filter lh_disk_usage_return_network_capability). It says which driver is in use, du or PHP.

  • Sites: each site’s uploads directory on disk, its measured media library and attachment count, and when it was measured, with network totals. Each site name links to that site’s Tools > Disk Usage. Measure sites now runs a pass straight away; a + means a measurement hit the time limit.
  • Install scans: choose a directory (install, wp-content, uploads, plugins or themes) and a depth of 1 to 4. Each scan is saved as a snapshot; opening one shows a sunburst chart, a table of its top-level directories with their share, and every file over 10 MB.
  • Media Library File Size leftovers: shown only while any of that plugin’s post meta remains on any site, with a button that removes it from every site.
