- 1.19.0: New sites can be given a privacy level when they are created. The create-site ability takes an optional privacy (public by default) using the lh-site-privacy levels: public, hidden-from-search, logged-in, site-users, administrators or password, plus a site password for the password level. The members level is not offered at creation; set it afterwards with lh-site-privacy/set-privacy on the new site. Without lh-site-privacy only public and hidden-from-search are available. The level is applied as soon as the site exists, before the post-copy clean-up, and overrides any privacy carried over from the template, so a site copied from a private template no longer ends up with the template’s level by accident. The ability now returns the privacy level the site was given.
- 1.18.1: Fixes the Allowed Templates list on the Network Signup Options page leaving out private sites. A template site set to private (such as White Label) was missing from the list, so saving the page silently removed it from the allowed templates. Private sites are now listed; archived, deleted and spam sites are still left out.
- 1.18.0: Adds a Who can create sites setting: Allowed roles only (default) or Any logged-in user. With Any logged-in user, the Allowed Roles list is ignored on both the signup form and the MCP create-site ability; signups must still be open and the per-user site limit still applies. Also fixes the ability descriptions to end with their permission and documents the list-templates placeholder parameter.
- 1.17.0: Adds site creation over MCP. New abilities lh-signup/list-templates and lh-signup/create-site, available on the caller’s primary site (super admins: the main site). The signup form and the ability share one check, so whoever can create a site on the web can do it over MCP and vice versa: users who cannot install plugins need signups open, a role allowed to sign up, and must be under the new Sites per user limit (default 1). The limit counts sites the user created that still exist; the creator is recorded in site meta and always made administrator of the new site. New sites go live straight away.
- 1.16.1: Safety fixes for site signup. A failed site creation now stops before any post-copy clean-up, which previously ran against the main site (reassigning its posts, rewriting its GUIDs and options). The chosen template is checked against the allowed list, so an invalid choice is refused instead of copying the wrong tables. Site addresses are validated: 3 to 63 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, not starting or ending with a hyphen, and not a reserved name; a site title is required. Template users are no longer copied into new sites, so template administrators no longer become administrators of every new site. Adds a network ‘Signups open’ setting, closed by default: while closed, only users who can install plugins can create sites and the signup form says signups are closed. The new site email can now be switched off, and messages and settings output are escaped.
