Digital Sovereignty for everyone

Changelog

  • 3.0.1: Code-standards fixes, with no change in behaviour. The role forms’ nonce is now checked inside each handler, next to the form fields it protects. The plugin description is shortened to fit wordpress.org’s 150-character limit. bbPress role names are translated with a fallback for when bbPress isn’t loaded. The empty index.php guard now contains its silence comment.
  • 3.0.0: Rewritten to give every user up to one role in each of three buckets: a site role (WordPress’s core roles plus any custom role, such as unclaimed or confidant), a forum role (bbPress) and a shop role (WooCommerce). The Add User and Edit User screens show a Forum role and a Shop role select next to WordPress’s own Role select, and the users list shows Role, Forum role and Shop role columns. These replace bbPress’s own Forum Role field and column. The forum role is still saved by bbPress, through its own field name. The shop role is saved here, including for multisite invitations and new-user signups. Changing a user’s site role no longer wipes their forum and shop roles, whether the change comes from the Edit User screen, the bulk Change role action or code. Forum and shop roles are no longer offered in the site Role select. A shop role can only be granted by someone who already holds all of its capabilities. The forum and shop role lists are filterable. The old combined Roles column and its unused helper methods are removed.
