Digital Sovereignty for everyone

LH Meetings

LH Meetings records the minutes of an organisation’s meetings: committee meetings, annual and special general meetings, and subcommittees. It is built for community organisations that keep their notices of meeting as GatherPress events.

Each meeting post is the minutes of one GatherPress event. The event is the meeting itself, so its date, time, location and agenda (the event description, as the notice of meeting) come from the event and are never copied. The minutes are the meeting post’s own content.

Features

  • A meetings archive at /meetings/, newest meeting first, with an archive per meeting type.
  • Minutes are marked draft or confirmed, with a link to the later meeting that confirmed them.
  • When minutes are first confirmed, who was present (event check-ins from LH Buddypress Check Ins) and who sent apologies (not attending RSVPs in GatherPress) is recorded on the meeting and never changes afterwards.
  • A meeting is Confidential (LH Membership) when first published, and can be opened up afterwards.
  • Single meetings use a block template supplied by the plugin, with Meeting details, Meeting attendance and Meeting event blocks. The Meeting event block shows GatherPress’s own blocks, such as the event date, for the meeting’s event.
  • Prefilled paper proxy forms: a Proxy form link on an event opens the organisation’s proxy form with the meeting, date, venue and return deadline filled in, ready to print. Proxies are handled by hand; nothing is recorded online.

Setup

Requires WordPress 6.7 and GatherPress. Create the GatherPress event for the meeting first, then add the minutes under Meetings and choose the event in the Meeting panel. The event is stored as the meeting’s parent post, so the link survives a standard WordPress export and import.
