A pure MCP-abilities plugin wrapping native BuddyPress query APIs — group membership, group listing, activity streams, and the member directory — that aren’t specific to any single vertical. Contrast with LH BuddyPress Group Taxonomies, which is taxonomy-scoped only.
No admin UI, no front-end output — abilities only. Network-activated, so every ability is reachable via each site’s own MCP connector, not just the main site.
Key features
- Group membership queries: who’s in a group, their role, and (where permitted) their email
- Group listing and lookup, independent of any taxonomy
- Activity-stream queries, scoped to a group or a single user
- Member directory search, matching BuddyPress’s own directory tabs (active/newest/alphabetical/online/random)
- Seven read-only MCP abilities in total, deliberately excluding private messages and friend connections — a different risk category, out of scope here
Capability model
Abilities that never return an email address are gated to BuddyPress’s own bp_moderate capability. Abilities that return member email addresses (get-group-members, search-members) are gated to edit_users instead, matching the precedent set by lh-membership/list-members. Full per-ability detail is in the MCP abilities section below.
