LH Downloadable Tables adds a Download table button to HTML tables, so visitors can save a table’s contents as a CSV file and open it in a spreadsheet. It is useful for results, ladders, rosters and any other tabular data people want to keep or work with.
Give a table the class downloadable and a caption, and the button appears in the caption. The download happens entirely in the browser: no data is sent to the server and nothing is stored.
Key features
- Works on any table in post content, whether written by hand, produced by a shortcode or added by another plugin, in classic and block themes.
- The script is only loaded on pages that contain a downloadable table.
- Set the file name with a
data-download_filenameattribute on the table; the date is added automatically. - In wp-admin, list tables get a Download table button too, for a quick export of any admin list screen.
- No settings: the plugin works as soon as it is activated.
