Changelog

  • 1.1.7: Release 1.1.7: fixes an Attempt to read property taxonomy on null PHP warning from the Group Tags term list. The Count column callback looked up the taxonomy from get_current_screen(), which is null when a term row is rendered outside a normal admin screen load, such as the AJAX response after adding a tag. The callback now loads the term by ID alone and takes the taxonomy from the term itself, returns an empty cell if the term cannot be found, and escapes the link with esc_url and the count with absint. Also removes the class_exists guard around the class declaration, which is unnecessary for a plugin’s own class and can silently skip hook registration under OPcache early binding.
  • 1.1.6: Release 1.1.6: fixes an Undefined array key group_status PHP warning on the wp-admin Groups screen. add_group_taxonomy_select() read the group_status query arg directly three times when building the status filter dropdown, which warned whenever the screen was loaded without that filter applied. The value is now read once, guarded with isset and sanitised with sanitize_key, and reused for all three selected() calls. Bumps the plugin header and plugin_version() to 1.1.6 and updates readme.txt (stable tag and trimmed changelog).
  • 1.1.5: Release 1.1.5: the front-end stylesheet (assets/css/admin.css, plus its dashicons dependency) now only loads on BuddyPress screens instead of on every front-end page. Every rule in it is scoped to the #buddypress wrapper, so it did nothing elsewhere. enqueue_cssjs() now returns early unless is_buddypress() is true; the decision is filterable via lh_bp_group_taxonomies_load_front_css for sites that render group tag markup outside BuddyPress screens. Bumps the plugin header and plugin_version() to 1.1.5 and updates readme.txt (stable tag and trimmed changelog).
  • 1.1.4: Structural split (1.1.4): update includes() to load the seven new split-out class files (class-frontend-tag-editor.php, class-frontend-group-lifecycle.php, and the four class-admin-*.php files) instead of the two former god-class files, and bump the version. Load order doesn’t matter for correctness here since cross-class static calls resolve at hook-fire time, long after all requires have completed.
  • 1.1.3: Bump to 1.1.3 (patch) per rule 8: fixed static-analysis findings — a genuine undefined-variable bug in the admin submenu builder that could silently mis-map a taxonomy’s admin screen, a defensive initialization for $term_links, and two type-safety cleanups (version_compare args, a dead WP_Screen default) with no behavior change.
  • 1.1.2: Bump to 1.1.2 (patch) per rule 8: fixed the Abilities-API version-compat declaration, a plugin-vs-BuddyPress text-domain mismatch, and an unsanitized tag-name field.
  • 1.1.1: Added the MCP abilities file (list-group-taxonomies, list-terms, get-groups-by-taxonomy), loaded on plugins_loaded independent of the existing bp_loaded/bp_init bootstrap.
  • 1.1.0: Added LH_BP_Group_Taxonomies_Taxonomy::get_group_ids_by_tax_query() — a standalone, multi-taxonomy tax_query-shaped API for fetching matching group IDs from any PHP code. Generalized the groups directory filtering to collect and apply all matching taxonomies present at once (previously only the last one found in $_GET was actually used, so multi-taxonomy filtering silently didn’t work). lh-competitions’s two duplicate group-ID-lookup methods now delegate to the new shared method instead of independently calling get_objects_in_term().
  • 1.0.1: Removed the legacy restrict_by_taxonomy() PHP-side ID-intersection implementation of groups directory taxonomy filtering. Confirmed and left active the SQL-join implementation (parse_select()/parse_total(), using WP_Tax_Query::get_sql() against BuddyPress’s own group query filters). Verified live on Princes Park Touch (site ID 2) that this correctly resolves to the site’s own term tables, not shared/network tables. Removed the temporary super-admin-only debug logging added during that verification.
  • 1.0.0: Initial release. Forked from “BP Groups Taxo” (imath, unmaintained) and ported to LH plugin conventions. Removed all network/root-blog gating; taxonomy scope is now strictly per-site. Renamed classes, hooks, filters, and text domain to the lh_bp_group_taxonomies / lh-buddypress-group-taxonomies namespace. Admin bulk tag management screen retains the original bp_moderate capability (unchanged, by design). No MCP abilities in this release.
