LH BuddyPress Group Invites adds an Invite by email tab to BuddyPress groups. A group member (or, for public groups, a visitor) enters someone’s name and email address, and the plugin finds or creates that person’s account and sends them a BuddyPress group invitation.
It is a simpler route into a group than BuddyPress’s own member-to-member invitations: the person being invited does not need an account first, and the form can collect the group’s profile fields for them at the same time.
Key features
- Invite by email tab on each group, with a configurable response page for successful invites and for people who are already members.
- Creates an account for invitees who do not have one, then sends the standard BuddyPress group invitation.
- Public groups can accept invite-by-email submissions from logged-out visitors.
- Extensible: the tab’s visibility and the post-submission user are exposed through filters and actions.
