LH Vcard

LH Vcard exports WordPress user profiles as downloadable vCard (.vcf) contact files, individually or in bulk, so site members can add each other to their phone or address book directly from LocalHero.

Why it exists

Community and club sites accumulate a lot of contact information in member profiles that’s otherwise locked inside the WordPress admin. LH Vcard turns that data into a standard, portable format any phone or address book app understands – no manual re-typing of numbers or emails.

Download links: signed, not session-bound

As of version 1.03, every vCard link this plugin generates uses a single mechanism: a signed, expiring download token (HMAC-based, independent of who is logged in) served via a REST route. This replaced an older admin-ajax + WordPress-nonce approach – see Architectural Notes for why, and what changed.

Install / setup

Network-activate the plugin. No configuration is required – hooks register automatically on plugins_loaded. The capability gate (publish_posts by default) and the download link’s expiry window (24 hours by default) are both filterable; see Hooks & Filters.
