LH Post Locking

LH Post Locking lets administrators lock a post, page or other content so that nobody else can edit, delete or publish it, not even editors. It’s for content that should stay exactly as it is: a constitution or policy once adopted, a submitted assignment, a page you don’t want amended, or instructions that an automated agent follows unattended.

Locking is a single Lock editing checkbox in the post status panel of the block editor, or the Publish box of the classic editor. Locked posts are tagged Locked in the post list, with their own Locked view and bulk Lock and Unlock actions. Locks can also be checked, set and listed over MCP.

The lock sits beside the post status rather than replacing it, so a locked post can still be published, private or draft, and appears everywhere an unlocked post would. Comments on a locked post can still be moderated. Only users with the manage_options capability can lock, unlock or edit a locked post, and a filter can change that.

The lock holds whichever way a change arrives: the editor, the REST API, MCP abilities, scheduled jobs or other plugins. Any change that goes through WordPress is refused, not just the ones made in the editor.

LH Post Locking replaces LH Locked Post Status, which locked posts with two custom post statuses.
