LH HTML Sitemap adds a human-readable sitemap to any WordPress site: a Sitemap block that lists your pages, posts and custom post types, grouped by type, on a real page you control. It complements the XML sitemap WordPress already generates for search engines, and it uses the same list of post types, so one exclusion governs both.
Features
- A Sitemap block you can place on any page, with its own title and introduction.
- Visitors see what they are allowed to see: logged-out visitors get the public listing, and logged-in users get a live listing that includes everything they can read, such as private or members-only content.
- Fast on large sites: the public listing is cached and clears itself whenever content changes, and each post type is capped with a link to its archive.
- A Sitemap Link block for the Navigation block, so the sitemap page can go in any menu without hard-coding its address.
- Filters for developers to change which post statuses are public, which posts are excluded, and which post types are listed.
Getting started
Activate the plugin, create a page (for example “Sitemap”), and add the Sitemap block to it. To link to it from a menu, add the Sitemap Link block inside your Navigation block.
