Other plugins can now turn parts of Markdown or HTML into their own blocks during a conversion to blocks. A new filter, lh_content_converter_block_handlers, takes handlers that are given the HTML (Markdown is converted to HTML first) and a claim function: a handler swaps each element it claims for the placeholder the claim function returns, and once the conversion library has run, each placeholder is replaced with the handler's block markup exactly as given. As with code text, the conversion is abandoned rather than returning untrustworthy content if a placeholder cannot be matched exactly once. Claims run before code blocks are protected, so a handler can claim a fenced code block such as a mermaid fence. Every caller of the converter benefits, including create-post, the knowledge base and presentations. LH Mermaid is the first handler.

HTML to Markdown: figures and figure captions now convert as blocks, so a figure's image no longer runs into the paragraph after it, and a caption sits on the line under its image instead of running into the image and the next paragraph. Lines left holding only whitespace (for example by a map block's empty script target) are emptied, outside fenced code blocks, so they collapse with other blank lines. Lines with text, including hard-break trailing spaces, are unchanged.
