Stores the connection details other LocalHero plugins need to reach outside services: SMTP and IMAP mail servers, GitHub, and any other type a plugin registers. Credentials are encrypted at rest in two network tables (site-level and user-level connections), and are entered and edited in Network Admin, under Network Tools, Connections.
Other plugins read connections through the LH_Connections class rather than keeping their own secrets: LH Email sends and reads mail through its SMTP and IMAP connections, and LH GitHub Publisher uses its GitHub connection. A plugin can add its own connection type, with its own credential fields, through filters. MCP abilities list, create, update and delete site-level connections; listing returns only which credential fields are set, never their values.
