LH Buddypress Check Ins lets members check in to GatherPress events. It records who attended each event and posts each check-in to the BuddyPress activity stream.
Each check-in is stored as a WordPress comment of type checkin on the event. Attendance history stays in the standard WordPress database and moves with the site’s content.
Features
- A check-in page at
/checkin/ that checks the member in to the next upcoming event that accepts check-ins.
- Logged-in members are checked in automatically when they open a page containing the check-in form. Anyone else checks in by email address, and new people are added as users when they give their name.
- Check-ins are enabled per event from a panel in the block editor sidebar.
- A manual check-in screen under Tools for staff to check people in on their behalf.
- A check-in count column on the events list, and an attendee table on each event for users who can promote users.
- Shortcodes for the check-in form, open and closed messages, the checked-in user and event, attendance counts, event listings and per-team reports.
- Check-ins appear in the BuddyPress activity stream. They are marked up as IndieWeb checkins when the Webmention plugin is active.
